Norma Kay (Lemon) May was born on February 24, 1945 to Leona Lemon in Lansing, MI. She graduated from Everett High School in 1963. After the death of her husband, Carl May, Sr., in 2003 she moved to Mason to live with her twin sister and brother-in-law Ethel & Richard (Dick) VanSickle. Norma retired from Holt Senior Care in 2008. In retirement she enjoyed going to the casino with her partners in crime twin sister Ethel and brother-in-law Dick, watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow, and playing various games on her smart phone.
Norma passed away February 28, 2018 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, mother Leona, twin sister Ethel, sister Ruth, and brothers William, Donald (Steve), Leonard (Stub), Merle (Windy), Harold, and Joe. She is survived by her daughter Erin (Kevin) Tryon, 6 step-children Carl (Betty) May, Vicki Davidson, Bill (Kathy) May, Marty (Deb), Laurie (Jim) Cook, and Bonnie Jo; 5 grandchildren, Megan (Sam) Baker, Darien (Eric Gestring) Holden, Lauren (Chris Seyka) Holden, Jonathan (Kelly) Tryon, and Anna (Ed) Skelly; 4 great grandchildren, Mikey Baker, Owen Seyka, Corbin and Raegan Skelly; brother-in-law Richard VanSickle, nephew Bryan (DeAnn) VanSickle, niece Holly VanSickle, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Sunday March 11, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. Visitation with the family will start at 10:00 am. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
