Age 93, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away July July 13, 2017. Born June 15, 1924. Dr. Taboada served during WW II in the U.S. Army and later in the U.S. Airforce and U.S. Navy until he retired. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Alma college, and his PhD from M.S.U. He traveled and preformed studies in Spain, Uruguay, and Argentina. Dr. Taboada retired in 1986 as a professor of Entomology after a long distinguished career.
Surviving are his wife of 74 years, Jeane Taboada; 3 children, Kim (Richard) Romankewiz, Mark (Sharon) Taboada, and Barry Taboada; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters and brothers, many other family members and friends. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Tirso and Mercedes Taboada; sister, Mercy; brother, Robert.
Visitation is 12:30 - 1:30 P.M. Tuesday with services 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor John Kessler of Mount Hope Church officiating. Interment will be at Delta Center Cemetery with Military Honor by V.F.W Post #701.
