Age 88, born in Lansing, Michigan on November 29, 1922; died December 15, 2010 in Charlotte, Michigan. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Barry; brother, Bill Hunter; sister, Mary Hargreaves; and previous wife Catherine Hunter. Paul worked as a Professional Engineer for the State of Michigan for 35 years until his retirement in 1984. He resided in Lansing all his life except for 15 years spent working in Marquette and Escanaba. A lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks and Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ, Paul also enjoyed sailing. He served our country in the Air Force and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from MSU. Paul had great interest in music, starting his own band and playing in various bands throughout his life. He was also active in Social Security Scandals for 18 years. He leaves behind spouse Juanita; four daughters, Dianne (Alan) Saunders, Carolyn (Tom) Krieg, Cindy (Tom) Nauta, Paula Hunter; son Paul (Lisa) Hunter Jr.; step-children, David (Susan) Price, Ronald (Pam) Price, Rodger (Amanda) Price, Theron Chaplin, Chandra (Todd) Simmons; 31 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; twin brother Doug Hunter, and brother Tom (JoSue) Hunter. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ, 125 S. Pennsylvania, Lansing, MI 48912 beginning with visitation at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m with Pastor Peter Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI.
