Phyllis Stump

Born November 19, 1931 in Lansing, Michigan, Phyllis was the only daughter of Blanche (Broughton) and Alfred Spitzer of Charlotte. She attended Eastern High School and very proudly achieved her GED in 1982.

She received her 10-year pin working final assembly at Oldsmobile and there met Stan her loving husband of 51 years.

Her love of children brought her to Kendon, Riddle and Northwestern Elementary Schools as a teacher?s aide retiring in 1998.

Phyllis dearly loved and was loved in return by her family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed the past twenty summers visiting Houghton Lake and perusing estate sales and craft shows.

She is preceded in death by her husband of six months Donald Chalker of Lansing, her parents, brother Robert P. White of Lansing, and nephew Steven J. Stump of Burbank.

Surviving are her loving husband Stanley; brothers Kenneth White of Ulster Park, New York, Walter White of Toledo, Ohio; her sons Joseph and Gary; and her grandson Gary Jr.

Services for Phyllis are to be held at 11:00A.M. Wednesday, November 26, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1611 W. Oakland, Lansing, officiated by Fr. Hayes. The family will be receiving visitors and friends from 2-4 and 6-8P.M. with a vigil service at 7:30P.M. at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing.
