Randy graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1966. Following high school, he attended and graduated from both Central Michigan University and Michigan State University. He was a teacher for the Lansing School District for 31 years and a substitute teacher in East Lansing for 15 years. Randy loved music, good food and had a great sense of humor - always succeeding in getting a chuckle out of somebody. He will be deeply missed and loved by all who knew him.
Randy was the beloved husband of Pamela Gilman; loving father of Andrew Gilman and Emily (David) Vaderzwaag; stepfather of Jackie (Mike) Smith; cherished grandfather of Michael (McKenzie) Smith and Nichole (Cory) Fisher; and brother of Cynthia Gilman.
