

Richard Allan Grace (Dick) passed away on January 19, 2015 at the age of 88. He was born in Carson City, Michigan on November 25, 1926 and was a long time resident of Lansing. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Elsie and his son Douglas. Dick is lovingly remembered by children, Dean Grace (Kathy) of Williamston, Sandra Johnson of Holt and Paulette Grace of Jacksonville, FL. Daughter in law Janene Grace and special friend and caregiver Cheryl Spalding. 8 grandchildren, Baylee and Ashlee Grace, Kelsey, August (Gus) and Max Grace, Lucy and Jake Johnson and Laina Grace; Sister, Patricia Magee of Ludington and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dick's career in banking spanned 33 years at Michigan National Bank, serving in many capacities including VP of Commercial Loans and VP of the Mortgage Department. Dick served as a Director for United Way and the Civitan Club of Lansing. He was a member of the Greater Lansing Chamber of Commerce, Mortgage Banks Association of America, Lansing Home builders Association and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers of Lansing. Most recently he served as a Trustee for Woldumar Endowment Charitable Trust. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Philippines.
Dick enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and boating. He and Elsie traveled and enjoyed many wonderful trips in the US and Europe. However, his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a loving husband and father and proud grandfather. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Stoneleigh Residence Hospice for the incredible care that he was given over the last 7 months.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 AM Saturday January 24, 2015 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing, with Fr. John P. Klein officiating. Visitation will be at the church just prior to the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 23 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit the guest book at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
