Richard H. Kohn passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016. He was born on February 22, 1951 to the late Gerard Elmer and Arline (Gieseking) Kohn in Merrill, WI. He was a social worker for the State of Michigan. He was married to his wife, the former Phyllis A. Stone, in 1973. He was a simulated patient at Michigan State University for 12 years. He loved to fish; liked to shoot pool, play cribbage and solitaire; and was an avid University of Michigan football fan. He dearly loved his granddog, Burt Reynolds.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter, Sara (May 30, 1976). He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; 2 sons, Jeremy and Jordan Kohn; daughter, Emily (Scott) Reed; 1 brother; and 5 sisters.
Celebration of Life Services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to the Decorah Eagle Raptor Resource Project. The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.
