Richard Robert Kramer II

Richard Robert “Rick” Kramer II was born on October 5, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Richard Robert and Janet (Lambert) Kramer, and passed away June 1, 2015 at the age of 52. He was raised in Lansing, graduated from Eastern High School and attended Michigan State University. Rick worked for more than twenty years for Ingham County Medical Care Facility as the Director of Environmental Services. He also worked as a security officer, reaching sergeant status. Rick married Cheri (Crego) Kramer on September 30, 1989 and they had one child, Amanda Lynn, whom he loved more than words can express. He was a master angler fisherman and an avid hunter. He loved football and NASCAR racing, listening to music and hanging out with friends and family. Rick was a fierce protector and a wonderful provider for his family. He will be greatly missed until we meet again in heaven. Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Richard; father in law, Charles Crego; and niece Angela Flermoen. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Cheri; daughter, Amanda Lynn; mother and stepfather, Janet and Harold Kermeen; mother in law, Darryl Crego; brothers and sisters in law, Dona and Wayne Flermoen, Donald Crego, Douglas and Carol Crego and Chuck and Traci Crego; nephews, Jacob and Michael Flermoen and Richard and Christopher Leland; nieces Madelyn Crego, Julianna Flermoen and Ivori Leland; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. We truly loved him. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 8, 2015, 2015 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the liturgy at the funeral home. For those desiring, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Rick.
