went home to be with the Lord November 27, 2008. Born June 30, 1924 in Perry, MI. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WW II. He retired in 1987 as a toolmaker from Oldsmobile after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Military Vehicle Preservation Assoc. M.V.P.A. and the Kubel Korps U.S.A
Preceded in death his parents, Lottie & Otto Gaedke, and his 3 sisters.
Surviving are wife of 59 years, Jane M. Gaedke; 3 daughters, Patricia Marie (Dale) Green of Okemos, Roberta Ann (David) DuMont of Livonia, and Nancy Jo (Mike Sussman) Gaedke of Cross Plains, WI; 10 grandchildren, Angela (Rick) Cole, Jay Green, Allyson Green, Thomas (Allison) DuMont, Maureen DuMont, JoAnne DuMont, Gregory DuMont, Lauren DuMont, Dina Sussman-Gaedke, and Melissa Sussman-Gaedke; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Volney (Anne ) Gaedke of Haslett and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 1, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 7533 W. St Joseph, Lansing with Pastor Lynn Grimes officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Monday at church. Inurnment Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the memorial fund at Trinity United Methodist Church in memory of Bob. Arrangements by Tiffany Funeral Home, Lansing.
