Lansing
Age 89, our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away May 9, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born November 25, 1926 in Flint, Michigan the son of Levi & Edna (Reed) Vergason. Robert was U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Oldsmobile as truck driver, and later was a school bus driver and mechanic for Lansing Catholic Central. He was a volunteer fire fighter for Lansing Township Fire Department, and was a member of the Civil Defense.
Surviving are his 2 sons, Robert D. (Brenda) Jr., and Richard Vergason; 6 grandchildren, Cherie Vergason, Robert D. (Kim) Vergason, III, Sandy (Tom Scott) Vergason, Joshawa Vergason, Aleeyah Vergason, and Nicolas Vergason; and 7 great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Leonora Grace in May 8, 2015; parents, daughter, Brenda Vergason.
