Born November 15, 1937 in Lansing, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Muir, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 15, 2012 at the age of 74. Sandra was a 1955 graduate of J.W. Sexton High School and employed by the Mt. Hope Monument Company for more than 26 years. She also served as a former member of the the Eastside Commercial Club. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Athiel (Ace) Taylor in 2010. Surviving are her children, Sandra (Don) Sands, Robert (Rosalee) Shafley, Michael (Debra) Shafley; step-children, Janeen Sanchez, Charles (Lynn) Taylor, Tim Taylor; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren; and her brother Robert (Marilyn) Muir of Manton. Cremation rites have been accorded by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends at Sandra’s home, on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 12:00 – 6:00 PM.
