Saul Macias passed away on August 21, 2014 after fighting with a long illness. He was born January 27, 1950 in Piedras Negras, Mexico, the son of Juan and Ramona Macias and was the seventh of fourteen children. He was a resident of East Lansing MI and a 33 year retiree of General Motors. Saul embraced life, his family, and the Detroit Tigers.
Saul's laughter and soul live on in his wife Sue and his two sons Manuel and Elias. He will also live on through his eight remaining brothers, sisters and extended family.
There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Drive, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends a half hour before the service at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Saul may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the Sarcoidosis Foundation of D.C.
