Shirley E. Fish

Age 88, died March 19, 2015. Shirley was born on August 12, 1926 in Utica, New York, to parents John Sidney and Anna (Bach) Bowes.

She was a resident of Lansing for over 65 years and a long-time member of the Church of the Resurrection. Shirley was an avid reader and also enjoyed big band and jazz music and was a former dance instructor. She was a very loving, caring and generous person to her family and all her friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Arthur (1994). Surviving to cherish her memory are three sons, Gary (Kathleen) Fish, Mark Fish, and Randy Fish; two grandchildren, Michael Fish and Meaghan Fish; brother, Bill Fisher; sister, Carol Bailey and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI 48912. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 25, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Another visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing, MI. Contributions may be made to Lansing City Rescue Mission, 607 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI 48912 in memory of Shirley Fish.
