Stanley "Stan the Man" Carl Grinnell, age 40, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Stanley was born December 24, 1981 in Lansing, MI to Arlet (Vanous) Grinnell and Bryan Grinnell Jr.
Stanley is survived by his father Bryan Grinnell Jr. and his mother Arlet (Vanous) Grinnell; his brother Jerry Vanous, his brother Bryan Grinnell III (Sarah), his sister Julie Shaner, his sister Melissa Chiucci, his sister Kathryn Grinnell, many nieces and nephews and many other great friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-mother Karen Grinnell; his grandmother Shirley Grinnell; and his aunt Judith Grinnell.
Stanley went to the Beekman Center in Lansing, MI and graduated in 2008.
He was always a ham! Loved to sing karaoke, you would always find him at bars singing what was being played by the local bands or whatever music was being played. His favorite song was "Should have been a Cowboy" by Toby Keith.
You could see the excitement on Stanley's face when he was told it was babysitting day for Sarah or Julie's kids. He always loved watching the kids or the dogs for the day. He also loved trucks, toy cars, WWE, video chatting, getting his picture taken, and swimming. His favorite shows were Gilligan's Island, MASH, and any Cowboy show. He also loved his beer!
A visitation for Stanley will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
