Stanley Joseph Kostrzewski, 88, of Lansing, Michigan passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on December 9, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 64 years, four daughters Karen (Howland) Kostrzewski, Lynn (Steven) Doerr, Marcia Kostrzewski and Jackie (Daniel) Fedewa. He was blessed with nine loving grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Stanley served in the Army during the Korean War and worked at Motor Wheel for 42 years. He was a member of St. Casimir Church since moving to Michigan from Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.
Stanley loved hunting, fishing, playing cards with friends and spending time with his family. He was always joking and loved feeding peanuts to the squirrels. Dad was our hero, putting our needs first, his last. His favorite response to “I love you” was “Right back at Ya!”
Special thanks to Tina and Shina, our caregivers from Visiting Angels and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice and / or St. Casimir Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be observed 11am on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at St. Casimir Church, 815 Sparrow Avenue, Lansing, Michigan.
