Steve Castillo

Lansing, MI

Born November 28, 1932 in McGregor, TX, the son of D. and Margarita Castillo, passed away February 8, 2012 at the age of 79. Steve retired from General Motors as a mechanic after many years of service. Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Eleanor Castillo; daughters, Rebecca (Ray) Velasquez, Yolanda Gutierrez and Grace (Carlos) Gonzalez; son, Anthony Castillo; grandchildren, Alicia (Willie) Hayes, Xavier Velasquez, Ramiro, Crystal and Celina Gonzalez, Mario, Gina and Justina Gutierrez, Jerell Jessup, Santino, Aladriene, Vanessa, Dominic, Luciano Castillo, and Erica Villegas; great-grandchildren, Jayda, Rene, Christian, Gabby, Giana, Zaden and Mikayla; four brothers; one sister; and best friend, Lupe Banda. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Frances Castillo; and brothers, Lee and George Castillo. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 201 W. Miller Rd., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI and one hour prior to the mass at the church.
