Teodoro Gonzalvo Macalincag

Teodoro "Ted" Gonzalvo Macalincag, age 86, of Lansing, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 19, 2021. Teodoro was born April 1, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hermogenes and Fortunata; beloved wife, Zeneida "Iha"; siblings, Mauricio, Faustino, and Lydia. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Anne (Henry) and Bong (Maricar); grandchildren, Cielo, Gabbie, Joseph, and Andrew; sisters, Lynda and Zeny (Pete); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ted enjoyed reading history and watching sports. Keeping in touch was very important to him and he made sure to call friends and relatives regularly. He cherished spending time with loved ones.

He was a seismologist at P.A.G.A.S.A. (Philippines). He was a chemist at D.E.Q. (Michigan) and was very proud of teaching Tagalog at Michigan State University. He enjoyed sharing stories about his experiences in Japan and Scotland as a student, as well as childhood wartime memories.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Church of the Resurrection, with visitation from 10:00am until the time of Mass. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
