Thelma J. Bucks

Thelma J. Bucks, 93, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016. She was born in Lansing to Frank and Mary (Starns) Harmon on March 28, 1922. Thelma loved to cook for her family and friends, clean, dance with her husband, and travel, especially to Texas to visit her son as well as the beach at Horsehead Lake and in Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Bucks, her son, Gary Bucks, her daughter, Judy McAlister, her grandson, Brian Bucks, and her brothers and sisters. Thelma will be lovingly remembered by her children; Jimmie (Patricia) Bucks, Glenn “Ted” (Susan) Bucks, Mike Bucks, and Patricia (Johnny) Johnson; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Thelma’s honor to the American Lung Association, 1475 E. 12 Mile Rd., Madison Heights, MI 48071.
