Thomas Yanz, 82, passed away at McLaren Hospital on December 22nd, 2022 after losing his battle to cancer. Tom was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI where he met the love of his life, Carna. Tom and Carna were married for 53 years after meeting on a blind date. Tom served in the United States Army for 2 years prior to settling in Lansing, MI with Carna and their three children in 1974.
Tom’s favorite hobbies included playing golf, traveling and watching the Green Bay Packers. He also loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Tom loved spending holidays with his family and gathering together at his house.
Tom was proceeded in death by his wife Carna Yanz and daughter Jennifer Yanz-Dibean. He is survived by sons John Yanz and Jason Yanz (Katie Gestring), son-in-law Mark Dibean, grandchildren Cody Dibean, Ashley Dibean (Dshar Harris), Tanner Yanz and Kai Gestring , great grandson Armani Harris, as well as nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on January 4, 2022 from 5-7pm at Tiffany Chapel located at 3232 W Saginaw Hwy Lansing, MI 48917
