Timothy James Grace

Okemos, Michigan

Age 47, passed away December 17, 2017 due to complications related to his heart and liver. A native of Lansing, Tim attended Eastern Michigan University to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and he graduated with a Master's of Science in Measurement and Quantitative Methods from Michigan State University. He moved to Okemos when he began working at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as a Business Analyst and Systems Administrator. After 17 years and advancing through what became Hewlett-Packard, Tim Left that company to become a Solution Architect with Logicalis, and later Oracle. He relished in computers and solving tricky issues that the tech boom brought forth. When not in front of his laptop or smartphone, Tim enjoyed salmon fishing, baking sugary treats, watching his children play hockey, and talking among friends.

Timothy is survived by his children whom he so very much loved, Easton (age 14) and Holland (age 11); grandparents, Jack and Betty; parents, Jon and Elaine; brother, Jon; former spouse, Darlene Groomes; and many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tim was predeceased by his sister, Lynn and paternal grandparents.

Memorial Funeral Liturgy will take place on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing, MI 48823. Visitation will begin at 10am. Mass will begin at 11am.
