Violet went to be with her lord on March 28, 2018. Violet was born August 7, 1942 in Battle Creek, MI, to Louetta I. and Charles T. Rankin. She graduated from WK Kellogg High School in Hickory Corners, MI. She worked as a nurse's aid. She enjoyed cooking and collecting cookbooks, music and singing. She was a kind and caring person. She loved and faithfully served her Lord and Savior.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louetta I. and Charles T. Rankin; and brother, Ralph Rankin. Surviving to cherish her memory are her brother, Charles (Imogene) Rankin; nieces, Pamela Sue (Wilson) Simmet, Julie Rankin; great niece, Melissa Simmet; and great nephew, Theron Simmet.
A Burial for Violet will take place on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Reese Cemetery, Battle Creek, MI at 10:30 am. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am April 14, 2018 at the Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh Road., Lansing, MI 48910. Donations in memory of Violet may be made to Pennway Church of God, Lansing, MI or Susan G. Komen.
