Passed away July 30, 2011 at the age of 87. Virgil was born May 16, 1924 in Lansing the son of John and Lydia Millhisler. He married Evelyn R. Green and she preceded him in death on February 11, 1982. He was also preceded in death by his son, Mark Eugene. Virgil served our country in the United States Navy during WWII and worked as a postman until his retirement in 1979. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed everything that had to do with the outdoors. He is survived by daughter, Jeri Lynn (Joe) Clevenger of Lansing, son, Jay Millhisler of Hope, MI, 3 grandchildren, Michael Clevenger, Felicia Millhisler, Andrew Millhisler, 2 great grandsons, Cashton Coney, Trey Millhisler, 2 sisters, Jo (Tom) McNamara of Lansing and Elaine Luthy of Indiana and close loving friend Mariam Asher. Virgil’s family will celebrate his life on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 beginning at 12 noon with Pastor Tyler Liegeb officiating at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Interment at Chapel Hill Memory Gardens. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday, August 1st, from 2-8 P.M. On line condolences may be made at www.gorslineruncimanlansing.com
