Walt immigrated to the United States in 1951 and proudly served in the United States Army. He was sent to the Presido in San Francisco with the 6th Army Central Dental Laboratory before he was honorably discharged as a Corporal.
In 1965, Walt married the love of his life, Norma J. Kazebee and together, they raised two children, Andrew and Bethany.
Walt began working as a dental technician in Winnipeg and Toronto, Canada, and carried his lifework to the United States, working in dental labs in several states across the country. During Walt’s 31 years of working at Dental Art Laboratories in Lansing, Walt became co-owner and retired as CEO in 1998.
Walt loved his Lord, his family, his lifework, his country, and travelling the world with his wife.
Walter is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Britt; son, Andrew Britt (Caroline); daughter, Bethany Wakefield (Michael); grandchildren, Patrick, Angela, Mary, Brittany (Luke), Christian, and Abigail (Lorenzo). He is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Risner; parents, Albert and Johanna Britt; two brothers; and three sisters.
A vistation for Walter will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48917. A funeral service will occur Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Dr, Lansing, MI 48917.
Serving as pallbearers are Andrew Britt, Patrick Britt, Michael Wakefield, John Craig, Bruce Mead, and John Aleo.
