Wanda Mae Russell, 88, of Lansing, Michigan passed away December 4, 2013. She was born in Corunna, MI on June 25, 1925, the daughter of Burt and Avis Russell. Wanda graduated from Eastern High School in 1942. Shortly after, she was hired by the Michigan Department of Corrections. Wanda held a number of administrative assistant positions before retiring in 1996. She was the longest serving employee of the State of Michigan and received commendations from the Director and Governor Engler. Wanda will be missed by her nephew, Burt; his wife, Pam; their daughters, Darcie and Emily; as well as many friends.
A funeral service will be held Monday, December 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel at 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Lansing Chapel.
