With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Angie Marino Foley Berg, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Angie passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at the age of 99, surrounded by her loving family.
The cherished matriarch of our family, Angie was born on October 24, 1925, in Tampa, Florida, to Bennie and Mary Puglisi Marino. She grew up in Tampa and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1943. She went on to attend Florida State College for Women, majoring in Social Welfare, and graduated in 1947—the first year the college became co-educational and was renamed Florida State University.
Angie devoted 47 years to teaching in the public school system, primarily in Pinellas County, where she found her true calling. She was passionate about education and the lifelong impact it could have on others.
Angie was deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed reading, painting, traveling, and collecting seashells by her beloved beach house, where she lived for nearly 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Foley, Sr., her second husband, Rush Berg, her parents, and her siblings: Bennie Marino, Jr., Jennie Granahan, and Tony Marino.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert Foley, Jr. (Wendy) and Benjamin Anthony Foley (Patricia); and ten grandchildren: Nick Foley, Tony Foley (Kristen), Angelina Cain (Chris), Erin Stefl (Ryan), Shannon Foley, Bobby Foley (Alexis), Sean Foley (Marie), Brennan Foley (Anna), John Foley, and Connor Foley.

Angie is also survived by her sister, Mary Jane Martinez (Bob), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her legacy is not measured by what she acquired, but by what she gave. Through her words, actions, and unwavering love, Angie’s spirit is woven into the fabric of countless cherished memories.
A visitation will be held, Friday, July 18, 2025 from 6pm - 8pm, Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774. The Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
