77, of Largo, passed away November 1, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He was born in Portugal and his favorite sport was soccer. He retired from West Company after 32 years of service. He was an honorary member and past Vice President of the Portuguese American Suncoast Association. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and was always helping anyone who needed help. His greatest joy was his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary; his son, Nelson (Aracely) Lopes; his daughter, Irene (Todd) Sunderman; grandchildren, Brianna & Corey Sunderman, and Emily, Nelson and Gabriella Lopes; one sister; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed and will remain in their hearts forever. A visitation will take place on Friday, November 9th, 2018 from 4-7PM at Serenity Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, November 10th, 2018 at 10am at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
