TRIBIANO, Armand "Charlie" Age 93, died Sept. 30, 2012, at home surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Gloria and devoted father to David (Kathy), Lynn (David) Richard (Susan), and Waid (Dara). Beloved brother of Cal Tribiano and the best grandfather to Jason, Shana, Mia, Conor, Rachel, Lauren and Brenna. Also, great grandfather to Natalie, Emily and Julia. A proud veteran, Charlie served four years in North Africa and Italy during World War 2. He was the embodiment of “The Greatest Generation”, a selfless man who wanted only for others. He grew up on Staten Island, NY, and was a NYC Corrections Officer for 20 years. A man’s man, he was admired by many for his strength, warm hugs and ready smile. Charlie was feisty and never shy about expressing his political beliefs. He was from the old school, God, Family, and Country. His greatest joy was to cook homemade pasta for family & friends. Charlie did lots of volunteer work, but his favorite was the Lion’s Club whose mission is sight preservation. Life was never about him, but about others. We have lost so much with his passing, but it is our honor as his family to carry on his passions, doing for others and making people smile. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lions Eye Institute Foundation, In Honor of Armand Tribiano, 1410 North 21st Street, Tampa, FL 33605. Services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Seminole on Thursday, Oct. 11, 11 am, with Military burial to follow at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
