Bonnie Sue Brzozowski, 78, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on August 16, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital North. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 5, 1947, Bonnie was the daughter of Charles and Eleanor Bashkoff. She graduated from Uniondale High School in Long Island and went on to build a successful career in the insurance industry.
Bonnie was previously married to Dan F. Brzozowski in August 1986, with whom she shared many joyful years. Dan passed away in 2005 at the age of 65. Together, they found delight in collecting pig figurines—amassing a whimsical collection of 112 monkeys (and pigs) made from china, wood, plastic, crystal, and plush materials. Their shared hobby began with a present on their wedding day and brought smiles to all who saw it and reflected their playful spirit.
Bonnie is survived by her sister, Terri-Ann Perine of Long Island, New York. She is also survived by her daughter, Jennifer Kors, and her husband, Terry Kors, of Clearwater, Florida, and their children, Alexandria and Addison. She is survived as well by her son, James Coraggio, and his wife, Penny Coraggio, of Seminole, Florida, and their children, Sydnie, Allyson, and Austin. Bonnie took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments of her family, especially her five grandchildren.
Also surviving Bonnie is her beloved cat, Jar-Jar Binks, who brought her comfort and companionship in her later years. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Friends of Strays, in honor of Bonnie’s lifelong love for animals.
A memorial service to celebrate Bonnie’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 31st at the Serenity Funeral Home in Largo, Florida.
Bonnie will be remembered for her strong spirit, sense of humor, and love for her family. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
