

TAYLOR, Constance H. 92, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014. Formerly from Rochester and Penn Yan, NY. Born in Fulton, NY and moved to Collingswood, NJ where she graduated from Collingswood H.S. She was a proud graduate of Houghton College, Class of '46 and did graduate work in genetics and microbiology at University of Pennsylvania and University of Rochester. Connie was a long-time member of Browncroft Community Church in Rochester and served many years on the board of Bethany Home in the Philippines.Currently she was a member of Church of the Isles In Indian Rocks Beach, and Lake Keuka Baptist Church in Penn Yan, NY. She shared her talents in many ways; as past president of the Monroe County, NY Medical Auxiliary, member of the Rochester General Hospital Nightingale Twig, and a teacher for 15 years with Literacy Volunteers. She was also an avid golfer and bridge player, as well as a great fan of college lacrosse and football. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Dr. L. Holland Taylor Jr. Survived by her children, Dr. Christine Waddill (Van), Paul Holland Taylor, and James Hazelwood Taylor (Liz); grandchildren, Dr. Holly Stephens, Meredith Stephens, Matthew Taylor and Francie Taylor; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Meredith Precht; and siblings, James Hazelwood and Natalie Mehne. A memorial service will be held at Church of the Isles, 200 24th Ave., Indian Rocks Beach, on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 10 a.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Houghton Student Scholarship Fund, 1 Willard Avenue, Houghton, NY 14744.
