Dan went to be with our Lord on November 28, 2024. Dan was born August 28, 1938 in Bristol, CT to parents, John and Margaret Horrigan. He grew up in Waterbury, CT and NYC. He was a lifelong sailor. He discovered his passion as a chef and he would work at various restaurants. Dan met his wife, Carol, at the Waterbury Country Club and were together for 49 years.
They learned to sail together in Essex, CT with Dan earning his Captain’s license. They sailed the same boat Lonestar for 45 years sailing New England eventually cruising the intercoastal waterway to Marathon, FL. They left for an extended cruise to the Bahamas. Returning back to Florida they settled in Largo, Fl. He will be truly missed by his wife, Carol Coe-Horrigan, his best friend and first mate.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents John Horrigan and Margaret Brophy, siblings James, John and Robert Horrigan, Lorraine Bielski. He is survived by several nieces and a nephew.
A celebration of life was held on November 28th, 2024.
