David Allen Barshel

59, of Seminole, FL, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011. David was born on June 5, 1952 in Toledo, OH and moved to this area in 1982. David received his MBA in Finance from the University of Toledo. He was a Senior Vice President and Trust Officer with the Northern Trust Bank in Tampa. David was a loving husband and father. His family always came first during his life. He was active for many years coaching in youth sports and was an avid golfer and runner. Throughout his career, David served on the boards for several non profit organizations. David is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Karen Barshel, a son Nicholas Barshel and three daughters Christina Barshel, Alexandra Barshel all of Seminole, FL and Abigail Hayden of Toledo, OH., his parents LeRoy and Eldoris Barshel of Ft. Myers, FL and parents in law James and Sylvia Davakis of Madeira Beach, FL along with a sister Pamela (James) Staub of Ft. Myers, FL. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Suncoast, 3507 East Frontage Road, Suite 300, Tampa, Florida 33607. David was a member of the St Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church, 3600 76th Street, St. Petersburg, FL 33710 where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10 am.
