David J. Berger

BERGER, David J., 57, of Indian Shores, FL passed away July 8, 2011. He was born in Roslyn (Philadelphia), PA on October 21, 1953. He lived in Pennsylvania until his father was transferred to Chicago by the Cotton Belt Railroad. He graduated from Rich East High School in Park Forest, IL in 1972. After graduation he moved to Florida with his mom where he completed his paramedic and firefighter training. He took a job with GE that offered him the opportunity to move to Andros Island in the Bahamas where he worked on the Navy base in Fire service. He moved to Indian Shores in 1993 after working on a defense contract with the AUTEC Project, Andros Island, Bahamas as a Fire Captain. David and Jami were married in Indian Shores on June 2, 2000. He was a maintenance Supervisor for the Town of Indian Shores for over 10 years. He was vice president of the Bay Mariner Condo Association. David was preceded in death by his mother, Donna June Lanford (1989) and father, Richard William berger (1974). David is survived by his wife, Jami L.Crowley Berger; sister, Deborah J. (Allen R.) Stone, Deltona, FL; brother, John Richard Berger, Deltona, FL; nieces, Amy Upson and Tracey Stone and nephews, David Stone, Deltona, FL.and James Berger; great nieces and nephews, Brandon Upson, Noah Upson, Savannah Upson, Emily Akers and Tyler Akers.
