

GRAY, David Zorn, 52, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Friday May 20, 2016 at Suncoast Hospice after living 33 years with lupus and cancer. Monica, his devoted wife of 24 years, was at his side, as always. born January 1, 1964, David was Florida's first baby that year. He is a graduate of St Cecelia School, and Clearwater Central Catholic ('82); earned a BFA in photography and cinematography from USF. David, irreplaceable father to Charles, has been known as a Boy Scout, seminarian, Disney cast member, youth minister at St Cecelia Catholic Church in Clearwater, fun-loving brother and uncle, selfless, loyal friends and inspiration to many including 684 Facebook followers, loving son and son-in-law, and grateful owner to service dog Bandit. His is preceded in death by his parents John and Patty Gray and nephew Tyler James Gray. Survivors include his wife Monica (Smith) Gray, son Charles Winslow Gray, brothers Joel Gray (Karen), Philip Gray (Athena), and sister Mary Toll (David). Visitation hours are planned for Thursday May 26th from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Serenity Funeral Home 13401 Indian Rocks Road in Largo (727) 562-2080. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday May 28th at 1:30 pm at St. Paul's Catholic Church 1800 12th Street N St. Petersburg, FL 33704 (727) 822-3481. A graveside committal service will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater.
