Born on November 19, 1947, to Henry Bennett Terry, Jr. and Mae Marie Terry, Donna grew up in Parkersburg and graduated from Parkersburg High School. Later in life, she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where she built a life filled with family, friendships, and laughter.
Donna was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and the Eastern Star. She was known for her love of cooking, especially during the holidays when her kitchen was always filled with family and delicious food. She delighted in keeping candy dishes full for anyone who stopped by and never missed an opportunity to go shopping. Donna adored Florida and loved showing it off to visitors.
She cherished every holiday, making sure each person felt special and celebrated. Donna was an old soul with a sweet heart, someone who could make anyone laugh but was also the first to listen when you needed her most. She was a friend to many, and the sound of her name will always bring back memories of good times and laughter.
A true sports fan, Donna loved cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Rays. Some of her happiest moments were taking her family to Rays games whenever they were in town. Donna also adored her beloved dogs, Cuddles and Sergeant Pepper, who brought her comfort and joy every day.
Donna is survived by her children, Jon Babor; Jennifer Gentry (Roy); and Monique Graves, her adopted daughter; as well as Greg Babor, her ex-husband and lifelong friend. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Victoria Wolfe (Tori), Elijah Gentry (Kay), and Gunnar Gentry (Katlyn); great-grandchildren, Scottie, Kyle, Mylie, and Paislee; as well as three nieces, one nephew, three great-nieces, and three great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mae; her brother, Jim; and her twin sister, Linda.
She will be remembered as a one-of-a-kind mother, grandmother, and friend. May she rest in peace with Jesus until we meet again.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be announced at a later date.
