It is with great sadness that the family of Donna L. Capotosto announce her passing on January 23rd, 2025 at the age of 72 in Largo, FL. She bravely fought non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis and a breast cancer diagnosis in the last years of her life.
Donna was a kind and outgoing soul that touched many lives throughout her life. She was passionate about her church, her crafts, travel, music, and most importantly, her family.
Donna spent over 20 years as a member at Quaker Hill Baptist Church in Waterford, CT. She served as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. She is a current member of Mission City Church in Largo, FL.
She had an affinity for crafts with quilting taking center stage. Donna made beautiful quilts for family and friends and when they had enough, she sewed quilts for the police to hand out to children in need and for the wheelchair bound VA members. She was a member of the Largo Cracker Quilters Guild.
Donna also enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Paul. They visited Italy, Egypt, Israel, Germany, London, Ireland, Scotland, Norway and Iceland. She enjoyed camping with family in New England and Florida and creating many fond memories in nature with her children and her granddaughter. Donna also loved the beach. She would camp at the beach in Rhode Island. She would often take day trips in the summer to the Rhode Island shoreline driving from Connecticut with her children. With her move to Florida, she enjoyed her time spent at the beaches in Pinellas County.
Donna loved all kinds of music from playing the baritone in Matadors Drum & Bugle Corp in Rhode Island, to singing in the church choir at Quaker Hill Baptist Church, while going on trips to see Procol Harum in the US and Europe, and jamming out to 90s alt rock in the car with her daughter.
Donna was born to John and Dorothy on April 10th, 1952 in Cranston, Rhode Island. Donna leaves behind her husband Paul, who she met in highschool and has been lovingly married to since 1972. Donna is also survived by her children John and Rachel, her son-in-law Patrick and her beloved granddaughter, Annabelle, along with her brothers Gary and Douglas, and sister-in-laws Joni and Carmela, and nieces and nephews, Sandra, Michael, Shanna, Michael and Vinny.
