Dorothy Brothwell

Dorothea Patricia (Dotty) Brothwell age 89 of Redington Shores, Florida passed away on November 13, 2020 at Advent Hospital in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She was born in Boston, MA. to James and Margaret Connors. She grew up in Sharon, MA., raised her family in Southington, CT., and relocated to Redington Shores, Florida in 1996. She attended Boston University and worked in both Boston and New York City. She married Edward Brothwell in April, 1955 and was happily married for 55 years. Her husband Ted passed away on November 18, 2010. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a very social person, enjoyed a good game of bridge, gatherings with her family and friends, and a cold glass of wine. She was "Nana" to her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with a fifth to arrive shortly. She is survived by her sons; James Brothwell (Ann Marie) of Browndale, PA and Richard Brothwell (Sandra) of Palm Harbor, Florida; sister Mary Connors of Charleston, SC.; grandchildren Mary Coughlin (Pat), Michael Brothwell (Regiane), Shawn Brothwell, Patrick Brothwell, Katelyn Becher (Pat), Meagan Brothwell, Ryan Klontz, Michelle Klontz and Dan Brothwell, great-grand children Aubrey and Rory Coughlin, Olivia Brothwell and Aiden Rodriquez. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Brothwell, a daughter Patricia Klontz, and sister Margie Mulligan.
