CHAMBERS-CAVALLARO, Dorothy Louise 82, of Largo, was born in Charleston, WV, October 18, 1934 and passed away January 13, 2017. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in June 2009. Dorothy was a beautiful, charismatic, charmer who loved to cook, entertain, and be the center of attention. She was the life of the party and controlled the room with her distinguishable voice. She was an instigator of fun and her hobby was collecting friends. She cherished all of her old friends and used her catch phrase of “So, where are you from originally?” to lure in new ones. She loved her family and worked tirelessly at too many jobs to mention to support them. No one was a stranger to her. She opened her home to all and she supported many charities. She loved Largo and was involved in many civic associations. She had unbelievable energy and strength gained through walking the hills of West Virginia as a child. She owned her own company, Cooking with Class, and she was a local mini-celebrity in the cooking world. She will be loved and missed and will remain unforgettable forever.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Pearl (Dick) Ledford; her guardians, Minnie Dick and Lillian Schell; second husband, Henry Chambers; and first husband, Nick Cavallaro. She is survived by children, Dan, Jerry, Ted,
and Vicki; grandchildren, Katie (Jeff Farrington) and Ryan; and great-grandson, Mason.
