Edward J. Nester was born on July 31st, 1926 in Linden, NJ. He was the son of Michael and Francis (Bonowicz) Nester. Edward was known in the family as an unsung hero serving twice in the Marines; from 1944 to 1946 during World War II and again from 1949 to 1952 during the Korean conflict. After serving in the military he worked in the distribution center for Bristol Meyers pharmaceuticals. In his spare time he enjoyed travelling and sailing the cruise ships to different ports of call.
Edward passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2013. He was a great friend and family man to all his nieces and nephews. He is pre deceased by his parents; Michael and Frances (Bonowicz) Nester, siblings: Estelle Schwarz, Helen Augustine, Gen Paulino , Adele Guadagno, and Lee Murray.
He is survived by his loving nieces and nephews and his best friends throughout life, Arthur Zelkie and Donna Shay. A visitation is planned for Saturday July 6 at 2:00 pm at Moss Feaster Serenity Gardens.
