

Born in Beattie, KS on April 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Henry H. and Helen A. (Heiman) Strathman. Mrs. Tucker graduated from St. Benedict High School, St. Benedict KS, Class of 1953. She later graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing in Topeka, KS in 1956.
Affectionately known as “Toots”, she and her husband retired to Largo in 1991 where they cherished their retirement years amongst friends and family. Eileen was dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending any time she had with them. She liked to crochet, read and cook for which she had a knack for changing up recipes to make them uniquely her own.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband Wesley H. Tucker, who passed in 2002; and four siblings Lawrence Strathman, Elmer Strathman, Edward Strathman, and Ruth Strathman.
She is survived by three sons, Mark W. and his wife, Cindy of Hollis NH, Michael F. of Largo FL, and Greg H. and his wife, Inger of North Port FL; grandchildren Krystal A. of Palm Bay FL, Christopher G. of North Port FL, and Ryan M. of Hollis NH. She also leaves behind her dearest sister Mary Ann Merillat of Topeka KS, as well as several nieces and nephews.
At Eileen’s request, funeral services will be private. Interment will be with her husband at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo FL. Arrangements are by the Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Largo FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
