

She moved to Largo in 1962 from Ft. Benning, GA, where her late husband, Jack, retired as an Army Colonel.
Mrs. Heliker was born in 1915 at Dalton GA, one of seven brothers and sisters.
She lived in New York City, St. Louis, MO, Heidelberg, Germany, Washington, D.C., Ft. Benjamin Harrison, IN and Ft. Benning, GA before retiring to Largo.
She was an avid golfer and a charter member of the Baypointe Women's Golf Association. She also bowled in several leagues, loved to play bridge and tend to her roses and flower garden. She was a volunteer at Morton Plant Hospital and American Red Cross.
Mrs. Heliker and her husband were world travelers having visited numerous foreign countries including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, England, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Greece as well as Russia, China, Japan, and Egypt. Eva Nell and Jack went on several cruises throughout the Caribbean and traveled extensively throughout the United States including Alaska and Hawaii. She is survived by a son, Bryan, Largo, FL; daughter Teri (Frank) Crawford, Chatsworth, GA; sister, Jonnie Bryant, Chatsworth, GA, grandson, Brett (Kristen) Ausherman, Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Melisa Ausherman, Conroe, TX and five great grandchildren, Justin, Chatsworth, GA; Jade, Conroe, TX, Caleb, Dalton, GA; and Hayden and Dylan, Atlanta, GA. She also was a great great grandmother to Jace Eli, Chatsworth, GA.
Terry Hill of Largo, FL was her dedicated caregiver.
She is preceded in death by husband Colonel Jack Heliker US Army, Ret., parents; John (Hooker) and Clara Bryant, brothers; T.W. Bryant, Joseph Bryant, sisters; Lucy Schrauder, Lois Moore, and Flossie McCamy.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday December 5, 2011 at 1pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel 13401 Indian Rocks Road in Largo, FL.
Interment will follow the services in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel Mausoleum. Public visitation hours will be held Monday from 11am until service time at the funeral home.
