

FETHERSTON, Francis Theodore “Frank”, 97 of Largo passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018. Frank was born on February 17, 1920 in Peace River, Alberta, Canada to the late Dr. Edward Beauchamp Fetherston, MD, Coroner & Olivia Rose (Scheiber) Fetherston. He was also preceded in death by his brother Edward Graham Fetherston, a sister Olive Fetherston Corey, nephew Keith Francis “Loy” Fetherston and Franks first wife Catherine Ora Smith Fetherston. Frank served in the United States Air Force during WWII from 1943 – 1945. Other occupations that Frank had after his military service and before moving to Florida were as follows: He worked for Chicago Bell as a lineman, the Arthur Towel Advertising Agency in Chicago and a TV Weatherman in Madison, WI for CBS. Frank was also an owner of the Hill & Dale Travel in Madison, WI. He was very active in the Madison Theater Guild. Frank used his unique bass voice to serve others. He loved to sing, perform on stage, was a reader in church and a reader, Voice-Over textbooks for the blind. Frank was the author of “There Used To Be Rivers” (Published), “The Player’s Guild” (in Process) and won an award for the screenplay “There Used To Be Rivers”. In Florida, Frank was very active in and loved his church the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Clearwater. He was the manager of the Tyrone Mall for many years and a TV Weatherman / Anchor for Channel 10. Frank is survived by his loving wife Sharon Lucile Fetherston of Largo, three daughters Janet Catherine (Bob) Ross of Verona, WI, Judith Olivia (Daniel) Lynch of Dane, WI and Frances Louise (Bill) Nahabedian of Cross Plains, WI, three grandchildren Timothy Charles (Rose) Ross of Madison, WI, Tracy Margaret Lynch Sanderson of Cross Plains, WI, and Andrew Connor (Tamara) Ross of Madison, WI, two great grandchildren Ayden Andrew-Connor Ross of Madison, WI and Jack Andrew Ross of Madison, WI, along with nieces & nephews Dr. Edward G. B. Featherstone, MD, PhD, Prof. Em (London, England, UK), Susan (Bob) Corey-McAlpine of Garden Valley, CA and Stephen Richard Corey of Santa Rosa, CA. Frank was a Master Mason in Star Lodge #78 of Largo, FL. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
