HOLT, Francis Alfred “Frank” 90, of Regal Palms, Largo, passed away April 1, 2016 in Largo. Frank was born May 18, 1925 in Turtle Creek, PA. He proudly served his country in France during WW II and then moved to Chicago where he met the love of his life, Eleanor Mae Gillett. He was employed for many years as a mechanic at American Can Co., Maywood, IL. In 1986 he moved to Largo from Lyons, IL. He was a volunteer at Talking Books, Clearwater and was a member of Anona Methodist Church. Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife Eleanor after 61 years of marriage. He is survived by children, Kevin and Debra, of New Port Richey and Candice, of Warrenville, IL; grandchildren, Heather, Erica, Vanessa, and Amy; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Erick, Chandler, Sophie, Ella, and Leighton. Frank was truly a gentleman. His kind, gentle manner will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s or Heart Associations, or to a charity of their choice.
