

Frank Christie, 85, of Largo, Florida passed away on February 17, 2023. He was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and raised in South River, New Jersey, he attended Willett Elementary school, he then graduated from South River High School in 1955. Frank was a man of deep faith and a member of St Dunstan’s Anglican Church for nearly 60 years, where he served on many committees including being a layman, the vestry and was senior warden. Cooking and preparing meals was a passion especially for his family, and church group, he and his wife, Lois, were often seen in the kitchen preparing for the next big event. Frank was patriotic, as he joined the New Jersey National Guard in 1954 as a junior in high school and later transferred to the US Air Force for four years. His electronic training and clearance in the US Air Force prepared him to be a career employee of Honeywell he was technician for the space program working with guidance systems. While at Honeywell and after retirement, he enjoyed being a chef for the Mini Rigs. Tinkering with electronics, and always wanting to fix things, after retirement Frank began a small business of repairing appliances and air conditioners.
Frank was an amazing father and kind person. His smile was always present along with his sense of humor. He met his loving wife, Lois, at Honeywell they were inseparable for the 46 years they were together. They loved walking and on nice days they would walk for a couple of miles at the park enjoying the beauty of nature and time together.
He was preceded in death by daughter Michelle Christie, brother Kenny Christie, and sister Barbara Ott. He is survived by his wife Lois Christie, son William Christie, and daughters Julie Singleton, Theresa Gardner, and Carol Bailey. His grandchildren are Matthew Gureski, Darby Christie, Heather Burton, Lindsey Groves, Jamie Finn, Denise Northern, April Cook and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will take place at St Dunstan’s Anglican Church, 2790 Sunny Breeze Avenue, Largo, FL 33770 on March 18, 2023 at 1:00 pm, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St Dunstan’s Anglican Church Building Fund or Suncoast Hospice.
