Helen Venker Mannion

Helen was a graduate of Loretto Academy. She received a Bachelor of Arts from St. Louis University and a Master of Arts from the University of New Mexico. On July 2, 1955, she married Lt Thomas J. Mannion, Jr. (USAF) at St Mary Magdalene Church. Over the next 30 Air Force years they lived in Florida, Mississippi, Texas, St. Louis, South Carolina, Hawaii and New Mexico before settling back in Largo. Helen worked at E-Systems as a technical writer before retiring. She was a long-time member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and its choir. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years. She is survived by her six children: Sue McNamara (Dunn, NC), Ginni Smith (S. Pasadena), Gerri Reagan (Tim) (Yorktown, VA), Mimi Andresky (Dennis) (Largo), Trey Mannion III (Lisa) (Fountain, CO), and Beth Endrulat (Jeff) (N. Redington Beach), 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and siblings Donald P. Venker of Houston, TX and Sue Rice of St. Louis, MO.

Visitation will be Thursday January 9th, 2025 at 9am at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd, Largo, FL. Burial will be Friday, January 10th, 2025 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
