

WALKER, Helen Beatrice ("Bea"), 94, of Redington Shores, passed at her home of 48 years on November 29, 2014. Helen was born in Tellico Plains, TN to Horace G and Mary L (Jones) Tate on July 29, 1920. Helen married Charles Ford Walker on January 4, 1955, in Rossville, GA. She was the office manager for the Walker Construction Company for 30 years and also owned and operated Beach Rental Cars where she never met a stranger and thrived on getting to know her customers. Bea and Ford retired to Levy County, FL, and established a cattle farm which they operated until 2003. Bea was crazy about her cats, especially "Little One", also her dogs "Hubbell", and "Shiloh" and also fond of raising chickens. Bea was of the Baptist faith and a devout Christian. Bea's life love and husband pre-deceased her in February, 2013. She is survived by her sister, Twila M (Tate) Yoakley, nephews Gary T Ridenour and wife Debbie; Douglas A Yoakley and wife Sara; grandnephew F Taylor Yoakley, grandnieces Jordan C Sanders and Meagan C Yoakley, and great-grandnephew Liam Tate Yoakley; niece Jimmie Thomas, nephews Charles Walker and Randy Walker. The family would also like to recognize her dedicated and loving caregivers for seven years, Rosa and Barbara. Visitation hours are scheduled for Wednesday, Dec 3, 2014, from 4 to 6:30 pm at Serenity Funeral Home 13401 Indian Rocks Rd in Largo, FL.
