Jennie Korgeski, born Giovanna Luisa Rizzini on January 21, 1929 in Scranton, Pennsylvania; "Jennie" died peacefully at home. She was 84. Jennie was educated in the Scranton Pennsylvania School System and attended Scranton Technical High School, where she played in the marching band. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Korgeski, who died in 1993. She was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Giralda DiCola Rizzini. Surviving are two daughters; Geraldine Dickson (David), South Carolina, with whom she resided and Cathy Loveland (Robert), Florida, son Rocco DiPietro, Florida and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Mary Dinnan in 1990, brothers Frank and Joe Rezzino and sisters Philomena Summa and Rose Baress, all of Scranton, PA. Her final resting place will be in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park in Largo. Services will be private.
