Born November 13, 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away February 23, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. She was a long time resident of New Jersey and Spring Hill, Florida. Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Arthur Dingman; also by her brothers Gerald, James and Edward Burgess. Joan was a homemaker, a wonderful cook. She loved to entertained family and friends. She worked as a tool and dye maker for a company in New Jersey, also operated her own Cleaning Company. Joan loved her cat Midnight. She is survived by her longtime companion Lenard Foulds of Pinellas Park, Florida and his family of North Andover, Massachusetts, her brother Michael Burgess of Madeira Beach, Florida, her sister Lorraine Lyons of Quincy, Massachusetts and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will take place Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, Florida. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 66th Ave. North, Seminole, Florida at 11:00 am. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital.
