Joe was born in Kokomo, Indiana to Edward and Helen Critchley. Joe proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Clearwater, Florida and The Rotary Club of Belleair, Florida. Joe owned and operated a real estate business in Clearwater and Ocala. Joe retired from Honeywell Aerospace Company, Clearwater, Florida in the Military Avionics Division, Guidance and Navigation Operations.
Joe is survived by many cousins and was a mentor and substitute father to many young men. Memorial contributions are suggested to Episcopal Church of the Ascension or to Doctors Without Borders.
A visitation for Joseph will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 12pm - 1pm, with the funeral service at 1pm, Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774. A graveside service will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759.
