

Lucille Florence Zibrida, 87, passed away January 5, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years John Anthony Zibrida in 1995, her parents Roy and Magdalene Nanfelt, and brother and sister-in-law Robert and Ester Nanfelt. She is survived by sons John Zibrida, James (Dawn) Zibrida, and Jerome (Julia) Zibrida; daughter Jeannie Zibrida (Alan Segrave); sister-in-law Bernadine Zibrida; and grandchildren Zachary and Zoey Zibrida (parents Jerome and Julia). Lucille was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 2, 1924. She attended Ascension Parish grade school and graduated from North High School. During World War II she worked in Washington D.C. for the United States Merchant Marine. She graduated from University of Minnesota with a degree in Dietetics and later moved to Chicago where she met and married John Zibrida. The family lived in Oak Forest, Illinois, and relocated to Seminole, Florida in 1971. Lucille worked as a Registered Dietitian at Bay Pines VA Hospital, from which she retired. The family attended St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church. Lucille was known for her Minnesotan wit and her smile and sense of humor would always brighten the day. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, music, classic films and spending time with her family and friends. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, January 13 from 4 until 7 PM, at Moss Feaster Funeral Home 13401 Indian Rocks Road Largo, FL 33774 and the funeral services is Saturday, January 14 at 10:00 AM at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church 10851 Ridge Road, Seminole, FL 33778 with internment following at Moss Feaster Serenity Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church.
