I am sorry for your loss.  May you find comfort in your memories of Mike.  It was my pleasure to have known Mike since the late 1970s.  He was always so upbeat and interesting.

Jane & I wish to express our deepest sympathy for your loss.  We met Mike on our small group tour to Costa Rica in December 2014.  On the second day of the 11 day trip, sitting in the shade and water around a pool bar on a beautiful day, Jane struck up a conversation with Mike.  Ironically, we had more than our faith in common.  We discovered we attended Trinity Evangelical Free Church at the same time while he had his practice in Granger, IN, knew many of the same people, just not one another.   For the remainder of the trip there were 4 inseparable couples; we were the "8 laughketeers."  And even though Jane and I still live in South Bend, we have seen Mike (and his entourage) every year, including this past February, for some okay golf, great dinners, fine wine, stimulating conversation, and many laughs.  It is hard to believe how quickly someone can become close friends.  I think it is largely due to our kindred Christian faith.  It is our hope that God grants you an extra measure of grace at this time of  your grief, and peace and solace he is in the presence of the Lord.  We will miss Mike very much and miss him even more every time we travel to Florida.  As he told me every time we departed company Pura Vida (pronounced poo-rah vee-dah), which means "pure life;" it is a Costa Rican saying he learned on the trip.  God Bless, Rich and Jane Wallace.

A friendship that lasted over 63 years is a very special one. Mike was a caring and interesting guy.  We shared many interests and passions. My life was enriched by knowing him. Peace to Mike and his loving family. 

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to talk with Mike at our fiftieth class reunion. He was such an interesting, pleasant and intelligent man.  He will be missed by so many.  My condolences to his loved ones and his many dear friends.

I am so very sorry to hear of Mike's passing.  I knew him from Glen Park School through Lew Wallace High School.  Mike was always so nice and never hesitated to offer a hand to help everyone.  
It was wonderful seeing Mike at our 50th reunion ... he hadn't changed at all, and was still the same kind person I knew for 60+ years.
My sympathies to Mike's family ... RIP, Mike ... you will be missed.

I remember Mike as a kind classmate who wore a great smile.  When we saw each other again at our Class Reunion, he was just as nice--even offering to help me with my medical issues.  Mike followed up as promised.  While Mike shared his new personal goals and dreams after retirement, he never hesitated to connect with others.  Rest in peace, Mike.  You will be missed.

Mike was a wonderful guy full of life and had a great smile that matched his attitude.  It was great reminiscing about Glen Park and his home above the furniture store and all of our wonderful childhood memories at the Class Reunion.  He will certainly be missed.  Time is really too short.

I remember Mike as a wonderful guy very kind. His family knew mine from Glen Park Baptist Church.


So sorry to hear of Mike's passing.  I remember Mike and his mom and dad from Glen Park Baptist Church during the 1960's and early 1970's.   Sorry for his families' loss.
